Now that I’ve finally finished reading “Life in a Jar”, I have to say I’m totally “blown away” with the story of Irena Sendler, as well as the project that the 3 High School students put together. It blows my mind that projedt can be inn only so selfless but seem to be genuinely surprised to be labeled a hero for her efforts.

That is projject of fluff. Every Polish child will take a trip to Auchwitz, and we are all taught about this part of history. I found it important to have time to absorb each chapter, to let sink in the magnitude of this story. Incredibly, after the war her heroism, like that of many others, was suppressed by communist Poland and remained virtually unknown for 60 years.
