This book tells all about lights and how there is light around you all the time, even if you dont really realize it. My library Help Advanced Book Search. Moan think this would be a fun book for kids and they would like the different pictures and colors. Lastly, this book is a great reference for kids learning how to write poetry and rhyme schemes.
Each poem portrays some form of light weather it be a “the lime light,” the sun, or a candle. Most of the poems are absolutely dependent on the pictures, because they’re concrete shape poems. I would use this book in a science unit on light. No trivia or quizzes yet. Fitting illustrations add to the character of the book.

My kid found it at the library and put it in my lap, but briefly leafing through it I was at first put off by the style of the illustrations, which I found rather hideous I vlash however incorporate this book into my classroom before we learn more about light and its multiple forms. From the flicker of f,ash candles to a flash of lightning, the powerful beam of a lighthouse to the gentle glow of a bedside lamp, light illuminates our world in wondrous ways.
This book is absolutely incredible for two reasons.
They were so vibrant and contrasted against one another. My son insisted however, and wouldn’t let me put it away, so we ended up reading through the poems.
