As far as books in the series, this one falls somewhere in the middle. As for the mystery – parts of it were very good, but there were so many things going on the book felt a bit convoluted.

So what’s wrong with this one? It’s a point of view that always remains itme and fresh, and Yep, another mystery from Colorado caterer Goldy Shultz. But starting with book 13, Dark Tort, they seem to have lost something. Goldy is a loveable heroine and keeps things interesting.

I enjoyed the references to my beloved Colorado and food. I like the fact that she says she is short and pudgy–what else would you expect of someone who cooks and eats all the time? That’s not a good sign. She does not ever repsect what her husband has to say it does not seem that she is in concert with him, or the police, in trying djane solve crimes.
